Just been diverted around part of King Street from Rice Lane to Church Street.
Huge Police presence, Fire Engines and Ambulance standing by. Large traffic queues all around the area up to Liscard road. Divert well before this area to miss the traffic.
A local said there'd been a Gas explosion. Not known if there are any casualties or sure how accurate the rumour is at the moment.

Heard a huge bang at 5.30am this morning.

I heard that too and I thought the same thing but according to the News services, Police were called at 7:21am. so apparently not what we heard.

I got told it was thunder by a couple of people.They said it was quite loud,I slept through it

And yes, the single thunder clap earlier was massive.
