any one know whats going on in the oak. cops ambulances ,outside is taped off started about 5 ish
Rumour Mill says a fight.
It's always kicking off in there. Avoid that place if you can.
Just been past, still closed off. 2x police outside
Outside there now and still taped off with a bobby outside.
Never seen any but the pub was all closed up.
Went by on the bus just after 5pm. There were four police cars outside and what looked like a Copper sitting on a middle aged man. No doubt the usual fun and games taking place in that classy establishment.
Guy got knocked out - in hospital now.
Can't really blame the pub - ... will always find somewhere to drink
but you dont have to let them in !
Just drove past now still taped off and police still sitting there
I'd originally heard someone dead-stabbed. My friend saw someone outside on the road with police/paramedics around him/her at 5:40pm, but was quickly directed away in his car.
Then we heard someone knocked out... No way would it still be shut from just a "normal" fight, it would never open !
Taped off at ten this morning. Cop in car so must have been quite bad. All cleared by 1 pm.
No idea what happened.
THE sister of a man left fighting for his life after being punched outside a Merseyside pub has pleaded for witnesses to contact police.
Lisa Lee said she had been left “heartbroken” after seeing her younger brother Daryl Hayes lying in a hospital bed following the incident on Saturday.
The 24-year-old chef was admitted to Walton Neurological Centre with a life-threatening head injury, though his condition has since improved under the care of medical experts.
Daryl, who lives in New Brighton, has drifted in and out of consciousness since being punched by another man outside the Royal Oak in Liscard just after 5pm on Saturday. He fell to the floor, suffering an injury to the back of his head, and was taken to Arrowe Park hospital for treatment before being transferred to the Walton Centre.
