I am told that TOLLEMACHE Road is closed due to a sink-hole. Can anyone confirm this?

A spokeswoman for Wirral council said: "The road at Tollemache Road/St James Road, Birkenhead, has now re-opened after safety checks at a small area of carriageway subsidence.
Small area,if your car had gone down there you would have been in trouble.

"Sinkhole" on the island has been repaired quite nicely but did notice a dip in the road at the same lights--so we might find it reappearing
