I've just heard third hand so can't verify the facts but apparently there are guys going around in a van breaking the allotment gate locks and then breaking into individual sheds. They are looking for power tools such as strimmers and rotovators not just spades and forks etc. If they can't get through the door then they get through the roof or window. Apparently the allotments on Cross Lane, Wallasey have been hit recently.
Sorry I can't give any further info or confirm facts but please keep an eye out for anyone suspicious and keep you power tools at home.

I heard that the allotments near Tam O Shanty farm bidston were also broken into about 3wks ago. Again power tools taken left the typical garden tools behind.

Damage and inconvenience.

Hope they catch them.

What type of crime would breaking into sheds etc be classified as now?
Burglary or something else - no crime possibly?

Look at a map of your area to see what crimes have been committed there

Don't worry crime is going down
