There seems to be quite a few of these types of threads on Wiki at the moment. I wonder how many of these stories are just made up and prey on parent's fears of the "evil paedos on ever corner". I'm not saying this one is, just that most parent's fears are totally disproportionate compared to the reality.
Most kids are more likely to be attacked/abused by their family/person they know than some complete stranger. Also, the amount of children murdered by complete strangers has hardly changed since the 1950s.

It's sad that there are so many of these threads, but at least people are being made aware of the dangers that lurk out there.

These news items keep on getting dragged off topic like this one has and I, for one, think that the mods need to get tougher and nip it in the bud - it is getting ridiculous.
