National Citizen Service (NCS) provides young people in Year 11 and 12 from all backgrounds, and with varying abilities, with the opportunity and support to take on new challenges, learn new skills and make a difference.

This year the Catch22 NCS Partnership is providing places for over 2,600 young people to take part this summer in the 2nd year of the Government's national pilot.

Our programme is shaped by young people for young people.

We have 15 places left.......its FREEEE.....and we have a meeting on Wednesday 25th July at Wallasey Youth Hub (Behind Mill Lane Fire Station in Liscard) 4 till 6pm.

This is a great opportunity for young people to keep active over the summer holidays as well as help to improve thier local communities by organising and running their own community action project.

The first residential starts on the 30/07/2012 and is for five days of outdoor pursuits, rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing, raft building, gorge walking and much more.....

The second residential is a 'life skills' week where we will be helping young people to develop their skills, completing a first aid course, mini olympics, apprentice task and plenty of voluntary opportunities.

The comes the community action project......anything from raising money for a local charity to turning a piece of derilict land into a community space!! Its totally up to the participants.
