Asking for a friend - she wants to know do you need one ,or two aerial connections to the dish, for a Humax box , or can it be wireless. Area is Wrexham if place matters. Thanks if anyone can help.

1 for an aerial
2 for a dish (if you want to record)

You've not said which model.

The second coax to the dish allows you to change channels and record. No second coax you can still watch it.

If its a previous sky install it will work just fine. As all sky dish installs have dual core if they could previously record.

Hope that helps.

Humax do a wireless setup, but its for a multi room set up only.

You can get a wireless model which can do multi room, buts its typically used to access the humax smart hub, which you can then program from your phone, recordings and such.

You dont really need the wifi option if you plug an ethernet cable into the unit.

Read the reviews.

Shes not here to ask the model, but its a TV Box for Freeview if that helps - although the explanation youve given , may well be enough.
