It has started not booting up properly (sometimes freezes) and when it eventually does, won't find any wifi.
Does anybody know how to get them working again?

Yes and if it does decide to go past that screen it goes into set up mode but won't find any wifi
This is a suck eggs statement we all hate to do but please try.
unplug the power for 30 second completely plug out wall etc.
Tried that, even left if over night too
Try goggling factory reset
it may be as you power on hold or press a button on the remote or the device.
the mx box has got a known wifi issue,sounds like a firmware problem
I presume that'll will delete all the software? I'll give it a try and I'll be back tomorrow for more help.
