Does anyone know how to remove .js scripts? It seems my IE8 browser has a couple of them running and obviously slowing it down (especially on egay) .....
Do I need to replace with something like Firefox?
Thanks
Neil

If you uninstall java from the control panel.

However you will loose so much functionality with out it.

Visit java.com

Install Google chrome as a comparison before you uninstall java.

IE8 will be real slow. The older browsers were not written to keep up with the latest stuff, which is why you do need to keep your browser up to date. As Mark says, keep Java and try Chrome Or Firefox as they both are about the same in speed. I prefer Firefox as Chrome keeps to much info about you.

Have you tried turning on the xss filter.

or just disable the active scripts in the security settings.

You could install google Chrome. It's far more secure.
