Hi this for anyone who has the knowledge of repairing power mixers.

I have a Behringer PMP5000, had a little bash in the boot and the Main channel slider is now faulty, I have been priced £12 online for supply and delivery.

Is this an easy job to fix?
Is it just out with the old, and solder the new one in place?

Thanks, Shaun

Sounds like a straight swap. Desolder and remove the old one and fit the new one. Very easy to do if you can solder.

Actually the fader may even be ok and a solder joint may have broke and needs redoing. A lot of faults are that simple.

Think it will need a new slider, it had twisted, I tried to straighten it out but now only one side works, even if it was the solder, I think a new one is needed.

You should be able to sort it once you take the faceplate off.
