I have two queries for any Wiki friends who use EE/Orange.
Firstly, how many of us have their mobile performance vastly degraded by the closing down of various masts covering the coastal strip. My service virtually ceased when the local mast on Tarran was shut down. After vigorous and repeated complaint I have been provided with a personal hotspot and the signal is now good in the house, however not down the road. Orange personnel have confirmed that EE has shut the masts down and that it will cause "Inconvenience" to some customers. Anyone else in the same situation and want to join me in a "class" complaint.
Secondly, I am connected to the web by BT cable. There is nothing wrong with anything to do with my connections to the local exchange However many days the connection will virtually shut down between 3.45pm and 6pm. Does anyone else experience this? Is it because BT becomes overloaded at this time, which coincides with school ending, and merely "dumps" its contract customers in order to meet the guaranteed minimum speed for its own customers.
Does anyone experience similar problems?
I am on E E on t mobile, lately have found internet giving poor service. If I go into Liscard it goes to GPRS and Internet just buffers. Had no problem with calls.
No problems anywhere.

4G everywhere around Wirral and Liverpool.

If you're still on 3G then rumour has it you'll have issues as 3G becomes 'old-tech' and they concentrate on 4G coverage.
Typical, I've just started to use 3G much more since Orange upped my monthly allowance to 1Gb.

Don't notice any problems though.
I was having really bad problems with my Tmobile/EE phone. After much kerfuffle they said it was because when I upgraded my phone in April this year they didn't upgrade my SIM card to 3G.

They sent me a new SIM card (free of charge) which arrived on Tuesday and my phone is fine now and internet on it is fast.
I am 3G. Orange has confirmed that they have shut masts down and that certain customers will be "inconvenienced". I am stuck with 3g until next renewal date but it wont be Orange. I have just had another 4pm to 6:30pm shut down and words with the orange help (who was no help).I just wish I had Virgin fibre optic but NTL stopped cabling three doors up about ten years ago and no-one plans to complete the work.
If they can't offer you home coverage maybe you'll be entitled to terminate your contract with no penalties?
I know you say your on orange but you can see there is plenty of coverage for 3G and 4G smile

3G wont be going a way for a long time yet.
No one wants to pay 4G those prices with caps on limits wink

I'm on 3G and not worried at all smile
I pay an extra £5 a month over and above what I did on my Orange 3G tariff now I've moved to EE... Only change is unlimited data down to 16GB a month. You'd need to be a serious mobile user to chew through that.
