Got a two month old laptop and just noticed a pixel has died. its off to the right hand edge and causes no problem what so ever

How many would you have to have before you could complain.

just curious

I used to have a monitor which looked like it had 4 dead pixels. Top middle, bottom middle, left middle and right middle, all on the edge so it didnt matter. After a few days you never even noticed it. I presume it was made that way for some odd reason. Cheers

could just be stuck? had a few on a new monitor the other year, just google 'stuck pixel'and you'll find something to run and see if it sorts it.

I got mine from pc world and they exchanged without quibble.

In the good old days of TFT screens pixels could be "Repaired" by either quickly flashing different colours between them and/or gently applying pressure with the rubber end of a pencil to make fresh liquid flow into them. LED Screens nowadays can't be repaired like this so I would say unless it gets worse, deal with it.

Unless you bought it from a big company, then possibly put it on file that the screen is already developing dead pixels. If any quibbles arise about it in the future, then they'll have a reference about it.

Its only one and I rarely notice it, and I am not looking for more. lol

A couple would not bother me
