Slow running laptop - 10th Jan 2013 12:18pm
Will leave a while hoping for a few replies/suggestions.
Got my aunt & uncles (both in their 60's)Old laptop, running Vista it is an Acer 3690. Running really slow, 3-4 minutes to boot up and the same to load IE.
Have done the following, Installed and ran AVG, CCleaner aslo ran Defrag and disk clean up and done msconfig and removed unwanted start up items.
Still slow, I have noticed it has a c & D drive, C drives is using 29g out of 32g whilst D drive has next to nothing on it. They have not got much personal stuff re Photo's, music etc so wont make a difference if moved.
Have read online above partitioning drives? Would/could it help speed up the laptop, also difficulty and how muchwould a shop in general charge to do it?
Will check back later to read any comments.
Thanks
