Wonder if anyone can help. I have an Acer Aspire 5732z, unfortunately the two usb ports have broken on it and it does not have a PCMCIA slot on to use as an alternative. Ive been quoted £250 to have the usb ports replaced by PC World!! Does anyone know if this is right or am i getting ripped off here, seems a bit steep! Might aswell buy a new laptop if this is how much it is going to cost.
Any help is much appreciated!
Why not just buy these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=acer+aspire+5732+z+usb+portsand pop into a pc shop and ask them to solder them on. or if your good at soldering, try yourself.
anywhere bar pc world there too pricey
Cheers matey, sounds a top idea. Know a decent shop in Wallasey that would be willing to solder them on? not too confident in doing that myself.

Go to The Den, next door to national tyres mill lane
Thanks mate, will check it out. Thanks for the help on this!
Try going to control panel, devices. Look for ports, or usb ports and there should be some sort of repair button..
The ports are physically broken unfortunately, pins inside are all bent. Replacement seems to be the only option. cheers anyway!
yes get in touch with the dr..
