I updated my Virus check. Internet now add on's disabled. Do you think this is the best option? Must admit I am slowing coming out of the internet fog but not quite there yet!

Some add on's can slow your Internet experience.
Basically with the browser wars every browser wants to be the fastest, so with Internet explorer if you can disable the add on's making it quicker. An add on my also be disabled because that version is not compatible with the new browser.

Via the settings control you can also enable and disable the add on's at any time.

really is just down to the individual.
