hi, am trying to fix friends laptop, problem is, it is password protected for the administrator.
i know the password, but the last digit is a heart, she says it is a heart and to get it, i press ctrl left arrow 3

having no joy, any ideas?

hold alt and 3 on the right hand side of keyboard, not 3 on the top row. The jumble up figures was a heart.

NM. If you can't get it working for whatever reason use a password reset disk from btjunkie.org

Man, that's exactly what I put as well and then had to edit it out because the dude said 'the last DIGIT is a heart'.
