Hello
HELP

Does anyone know if there will be a problem using my Australian computer [with an English adapter] on English electricity. Someone has told me the electric might be on different #cycles# no idea what they were talking about ! ! !

Australia is 240 Volots 50 cycles - same as UK

Anyway, the power supply for all laptop computers will cope with just about any voltage/ cycles that you are ever likely to find

(but, different topic, does anyone remember when Port Sunlight had a DC power supply?)

Parts of B'head (around Singleton Ave.) still had DC when I was at school. Changed to AC 50 cycles about 1960 (?) Presume Port Sunlight would change over about the same time. uh-oh OT !

I started with Unilever in 1964 and there was certainly a DC supply then to parts of the site. I think it "went" a couple of years later. The sockets around the place were either the old round pin 15 amp type or a weird Wylex type
