Is there any CCTV guru's lurking on here I could do with a few pointers.
I want to run the cctv through an old pc with just one camera for the moment with the ability to record at set times wht apart form the camera would I need to buy to do this?

Will the card be suitable for any cameras and what is the picture quality like?

Only records when motion is detected so you will not waste loads of memory.

You could always try Yawcam from http://www.yawcam.com/
It's free and it works.
It's got motion detection, streaming, scheduled recording and many more features.
With a bit of trickery you can have more than one copy running for more cameras.
