Hi does anyone know if I can use any 15.4" lcd in my advent 7302, the problem with mine is there is 2 thick black lines running straight across the screen I can change the screen myself just need to know if there are other screens which are compatible with this model, thanks.

Check out if they are the same screen or near as damn it model numbers,I had an old medion screen and put in a hp pavillion dv5000 with the inverter works a treat.

It's possible that it's the ribbon to the screen rather than the screen itself.

Wouldn't the whole screen be broken then if it was the ribbon

sometimes the ribbon works its way off due to open/closing the lid,it might be bad connection to screen try first.
if you have a screen check the 2 wires are same color,i have made screens fit and work i had lots of spares to play with tho, (some work. some don't.)
