OK
If you had £430 to spend on a laptop at Currys or PC World (i know same difference), which one would you go for and why?
Can only be at these shops, so don't say 'There's a great deal at so and so's'.
I can only buy at these stores.
PC World or
Currys Come on techies, help me out
go for a desktop...WAAY more for your bucks...
PC world either do loads of ram...fast processor and small hard drives in laptops...or fastish processor fk all ram and small hard drive...and they aint the cheapest...
already have a super duper desktop.
like the portability of a laptop.
you have broken the rules.
you are the weakest link-goodbye!
but if i had to choose..the Advent 6552 is 399 quid at both.
17 inch screen is ok...but its only a dual core...
3GB ram is acceptable...and the mediocre 250 harddrive is liveable with for that kind of cash
and moi? the weakest link...doubt it!
its only a wiki thread dear
In which case..you are the weakest link...goodbye!
I can't decide if you're being funny peculiar or funny haha
the snozzberries taste like snozzberries.....
have a look at supertroopers...jacis got my DVD...you will get it then..
snozberries isn't that from the BFG?
Willie Wonka and the chocolate factory starring Gene Wilder
The Advent mentioned seems the best option.
If you get it from PCW don't forget to use Quidco for 2% cashback (internet and 'collect at store' purchases only).
PC World (and Currys for that matter) have a price match promise:
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/editorial/price-match-promise so buy via quidco, collect at store, then see if you can get it cheaper at other retailers on the list - esp if buying down at Brom' as there is Comet, Asda and Tesco Home on the doorstep.
FWIW if going over 3GB RAM you start to need a 64bit OS. In fact MS have limited the 32bit versions of Vista to only see up to 3.12GB RAM by default.
OK

That would be peculiar MissG; He's not too good at the Ha Ha side of things lately
I'm not sure if there is any need for the word "lately" in that sentence to be honest
Sorry Sir
Your all random
not at random as you mate
are you going to make a post that actually makes sense, or are you just going to spam us tonight ?
right well we've pee'd spam all over my nice clean thread about laptops...so I'm going to bed cos I'm bloody freezing
nighthdkjjbkdnkklm bler
I believe Spamtastic started it
I'd get yourself instore and see if they've got any clearance items. Also extra RAM costs buttons compared to what it used to so if you can get a laptop without it, you can buy some of ebay for less than Currys/PCWorld would charge for it.
