Does that enable me to upload to a server and other users download at they're leisure, or do I have to input email addresses and it only sent to those addresses?

nope email one.. Im afraid you could set up an FTP server depending on your connection etc.. Cause isp's are bitches when it comes from uploading etc..

I often use www.filesend.net

Register with any daft name and password and for free you get 300 meg of space in which to upload files. If you pay you can have 1 gig of space.

Then you enter the email address of the person you want to receive the file and filesend.net will send them an email with a link. When they click the link they can download the file. The recipient does not have to be registered with Fielsend to be able to download

Multiple recipients are allowed, although I have not used that facility.

There are a few adverts and the up/ download is not fast but I have used the system to send PowerPoint files to 70 Meg with no problems. I have tried many other file types and all seem to be accepted.

I really wanted to upload it, post a link to it on the fan forum and then just forget about it, The other forum users can just download it at they;re leisure, without an more input from me so to speak.

Yer use megaupload and send the link to your self and then paste the link onto the Site and explain them it does contain adverts but its the only way you could do it happy

If anyone wants online FTP storage then I can provide free of charge on my own server. Please PM me.

I can provide usernames and passwords with read-only or read-write access to multiple areas etc...

Note that FTP can be read by most web browsers (including Internet Explorer) but needs an FTP client to upload eg Filezilla (but see next paragraph).

If you are a technophobe (or just unlucky with IT) and don't want to attempt FTP uploads then you could simply email me the files and I will put them on the FTP server.
