I haqve been using it for a few weeks - seems fine so long as you accept that any user must have a hotmail address - just the same as Flickr requires you to have a yahoo address.

It is useful in that my wife can create files at work, dump them on Skydrive and then access them when she gets home.

We have a son in the USA - and the technology of Skydrive is simple enough that even he can use it to load in some photos and then share them with us and his grandparents.

Heh I noticed this the other day when trying to download MSN 7.5... but tbh ya better off with Humyo ... I signed up with them a few months back and they offer 25GB of storage for free, with the option of a 100GB upgrade for just £3.00 per month!

I used to use a web server to back my stuff up, but will be stopping using it soon due to Humyo, will be going on their 100GB service.

I worked it out I am paying €24.00 per month for a 160GB FTP server on my rack (don't need to pay for bandwidth as I have 200Mbps IP Transit dedicated on my VLAN) and using about 60GB with maybe another 30GB am likely to use, but I could have 100GB with SAS RAID protection on the Humyo service for £3.00 a month, its a no brainer lol.

It applications like this that make good use of my 1.3Mbps upload, so I like them laugh
