i wasnt affected but my On demand was.. but funny thing was my Internet last night went from 2mps to 20mps for an hour cause things where downloading very fast ?? they should fook up again another day to allow me to take the op to leech.. I recon cause so many people are using it at the same time it slows it down alittle.. Well ive got one thing to say to you people at virgin.. Which will allow us to get the speeds you advertise.. STOP putting so many people on the one back bone in the areas.. Get the frigging Proxys back thats when i the most fun... GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Some forum members reported only short outages, while others indicated services began to return around 2am; however, across large parts of the former Telewest network, both broadband internet and video on demand continued to be unavailable this morning.

An update on Virgin Media's status page said: "Some customers Nationally may currently be experiencing a loss all Digital & Broadband services. Our engineers are aware of the issue and are working to restore normal service as quickly as possible. Virgin Media apologise for any inconvenience caused."
