CS2 = Adobe Photoshop

Basically, an image editing program with some pretty cool advanced, yet simple to use features.

ahhh

Im running photoshop 7 at the mo..

is it worth upgrading?
if so, why?

CS3 is out now, runs pretty smooth (ive only found one bug with it, and its not major).

Its possibly worth upgrading, but it depends if what you already have meets your needs.

If it already meets your needs perfectly, id stick with it. I only went to CS3 because my camera take photos in RAW 4.0 format and CS2 only supports upto RAW 3.7 format.

There isnt a great deal of difference in speed between CS2 and CS3, not sure about PS7 and CS3 though.

Thanks guys,

as you say matty, PS7 does everything I want and more so I think I will save the bother and stick with that.

i've got CS2 and CS3 - personally i prefer CS2 altho CS3 does have some nice features (like the panoramic thing where u can take two pics and join the seemlessly - u could do this urself in CS2 but would be much more difficult to do it manually)

Believe it or not there was a lesser photoshop product
that done the photo merge seemlesly.

Ahhhh i cant think of its name now,
but i was shocked because PH 6 or 7 at the time couldnt
do it automatically.

This product also have red eye removal when ph didnt as
a option in the main tools.
