Back then you could only have your first child in hospital.Further babies had to be born at home,or for those who could afford it they would go to a private maternity and nursing home.

The info is, it is that persons birth and is what she was told by her Mum.

Sorry but that is nonsense. I am one of nine and all were born in Highfield, starting in 1940. Seen this before where someone suggested you could only have the first in hospital.

I would suggest it was a private nursing home for those who could afford it.
