Good Morning,

I am presently researching a Hoylake family for a book and would love
to find a photograph of the house they lived in.

The family are John Douglas Little, his wife Stella and their children John Jr, James and Thomas and the house they lived in was Ethandune and they did so between 1913 and 1962.

Ethandune may have stood in its own land or been built on that was part of Barn Hey

Both Barn Hey and Ethandune were demolished at the same time, circa 1973.

If anyone has a photograph they would be willing to share I would be most grateful.

My email address is [email protected]

Thanks

Adrian Cork

I can't help with a photograph, however there is evidence that the family lived at Caldy Manor around 1920, at least that's the address used on some travel documentation.

Hello Bert1,

Yes, I've come across them listing Caldy Manor as an address as well. I think Alexander Eccles, founder of the eponymous cotton brokerage, lived there.

Ethandune was built and owned by the Cain brewery family. Could be the Little's rented it.

Appreciate your reply.

Regards

Adrian
