Dear sir, I am working on a documentary for UKTV about the 1960s. We are doing a section on the popularity of Miss World and we are hoping to interview former beauty queens who were crowned in the 1960s. They could have appeared in a local, national or international contest – as long as there is some archive (photographs or newspaper articles or even home movie of the occasion). I’ve come across references to Joan Boardman, the 1960 Miss England, on your website. I'm contacting you on the off chance that you may be able to put me in touch with Joan, or any other beauty contest participant from the 1960s. This production has a very quick turn-around so we’re actually filming next week (w/c 19th September). If you can assist me in any way, I’d be very grateful.

My Daughters headmistress from there old Primary School won Miss New Brighton many years ago, not sure what year.
