I found this buried in my garden. Was just wondering if anybody knew anything about what it could be from or where I could go to find information. Much appreciated, thanks.

Liverpool museum used to offer a free service where they would look at relics and use them for archeology students as part of their studies. We took them flint tools, and a bone which turned out to be from an extict breed of prehistoric horse. They give you a detailed write up and ask if they can borrow/display the artifact if they are interested in it. Worth giving them a ring.
Wow, what a find!
Can you say whereabouts is your house (garden)? I was wondering if you are located near to anything that this could have come from, (as suggested, Church, or something) is the only reason I ask...
Wow, what a find!
As ive just been looking at the picture it looks like a devil don't know why but its just the thing on its head looks like a horn
Probably a Faun or a Satyr.
http://www.fotopedia.com/wiki/Satyr...either that or it's Billy the Kid.
Damn! I knew I should have buried husband's body deeper
Wow,that's great that!!:)
Thanks for the advice everyone! Have just got in touch with Liverpool Museum so hopefully we'll hear something soon. I'll let you know when I find out what it is.
Looks like a ancient water feature off some sort!
I wonder where the rest of him is? Maybe it was the result of a drunken night out. Modern times calls for the theft of road signs and traffic cones. Maybe in another era they stole the heads off statues for fun
