Any idea when these were first issued
Sorry now that I used to throw the old ones and telephone books away as new ones were delivered
must start keeping them for reference material. I think you have to go online to Ancestry.co and pay to look at old BT telephone books now
Also do they still do street directories today similar to the old ones in Birkenhead Reference library.If not what's the latest one they have

I know what you mean Derek. I would love to have Directories of the 1970s and 1980s. I wished I kept the latter ones when I had the chance. The oldest Yellow Pages I have is 2004 !! Not good !

No they don't have street directories any more. The old ones are like gold dust. Wallasey lost a lot in the bombing and could never replace them.
