I remember going to this club in the mid sixties it had some good groups on there The Valkyries, Them Grimbles, Vince Earl and the Talismen which I joined as the girl singer in 1965 then we became Tilly and the Talismen, they always had fancy dress partys and there always a great atmoshpere there
went there a few times myself
This was for the football side of Instonians we played in the Old Boys league in Liverpool whose teams were Old this or Old that.(think there was only one other team from Wirral a Wallasey one)
Was on the committee for a year (wonder now is that why it closed eventually)
My dad always laughed when I said I was Going to the OLD BOYS LOL
