Society for what Paul?

erm...Society of New Brighton!

Apparently, the sandstone boundary walls of Upper Brighton are not protected and can be demolished without question by the developers. The Planning Department informed me that the New Brighton Society had raised the issue of retaining the sandstone walls which were used from the local quarry on the corner of Rowson Street / Mount Pleasant Road. I just need to get in touch with them. I thought it be the New Brighton Walrus

I was googling the other day and came across something or other to do with the development, I'll try and find it again, I'm sure it mentioned NBS and wellington road conservation area, also Perch rock, maybe they could help.
