i lived in both Mersey mount and the flats 'behind' them not actually behind but to the right looking from the Spar, 4 high rises where Hadlow, Sidney, Meliden & Norbury, can anyone remember the silver jubilee in Sidney Road?

I'm not sure if anyone remembers but there was a fire at the flats, April 1990 (I think) in which my (estranged) father died and the postman tried to save him. Frank Conlan was his name.
