Been looking at the roof of this place from my window for years and never knew what is was or its real size as its hidden in the trees. There's some pics of its rooms in a book called Merchant Palaces by Joseph Sharples. Link to pic-

Mere Hall

It was designed by Edmund Kirby in 1880 for the Solicitor John Gray Hill and was used for accomodation during the war for pakistani and indian seafarers from the Liverpool Shipping Companies. Its now apartments.

Would like to hear any more information about the building if anyone knows it?

Not about the building, but somewhere in the grounds is the start of a tunnel to Flaybrick reservoir, part of the water pipeline from Llyn Alwen . I understand it is now disused.

Sounds Interesting, was there a mere somewhere near by that has given its name Mere Hall?

Where would the tunnel be in the grounds to Flaybrick?

At the moment, it's uncertain, but it's being investigated. It seems likely that the transition from trench to tunnel will not be obvious.

Fantastic link thanks, Angie.

Didn't realise how many places around Oxton and Noctorum are designed by same person.

About the tunnels I am not sure but I am certain someone will know on wiki.

I never realised that Noctorum was masked in some much history too.

Does anyone have any information on the history of Wethersfield House in Noctorum. My first believe it was owned by the Beausire family but any information would be most helpful.

Thanks
