I've recently borrowed one of a series of books called 'Yesterday's Wirral'. There is 7 volumes in the set and each focus's on a region of the Wirral in photographs.
The one I borrowed is number 7 and features Birkenhead, Oxton, Prenton, Bidston & Upton.
It's a fantastic book and I'd love to borrow more in the set. I've looked on internet and they appear to be no longer in print.
If anyone has got any of these I'd dearly love to borrow them to scan (for personal use only) and promise to guard it with my life and return it in the condition I received it.
Thanks in advance

I got some direct from the author recently. There's a catalogue available... ring 0151 608 7611. Yes, they are all excellent and full of interesting history, reasonably priced, too.

WH Smith in Liscard usually has a decent range opposite the door leading into the Cherry Tree. R News in Liscard (by where everyone alights off the buses) usually has some too depending on the day.
