wish they would cut back on how many ppvs there is, say 4 a year, it getting that theres one every three weeks.
Interesting point about the Royal Rumble not being 2 minutes for each entry Teardrop, you'd have thought they would have stuck to it but I guess with 40 men time constraints etc made it difficult!
Also pretty excited about Undertaker's return, but not so much Sting - I just think he's overrated IMO.
And just if anyones interested, I went to AllStar a few years back when they were based in Birkenhead, and the folks there are really nice and friendly but it's tough lol, lots of fun though

WWE held the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony tonight from the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Thanks to Wrestling News World reader Matt Martin for sending us text-message updates:
* Jerry Lawler is the host for the night.
* "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase comes out first to induct "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. Hacksaw talks about going from football to WWE and the origin of the 2x4.
* Scott, Brad and Brian Armstrong come out to induct their father. "Bullet" Bob Armstrong starts with lines from famous quotes, talks about meeting
Gorgeous George, his wife and living his dream.
* Wrestling News World reader Brian W helped us out by clarifying that LayCool and the WWE Divas inducted Sunny. She talked about origins in Smokey Mountain Wrestling, being the most downloaded celebrity, and teased a return.
* Terry Funk comes out to induct Abdullah the Butcher. Funk imitated Dusty Rhodes, talked about getting forked by Abby. Abby came out with a fork but didn't pull the stunt reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com. Instead, he talked about getting the call and got emotional when he said he wished his family could be here.
* Dusty Rhodes comes out to induct The Road Warriors and Paul Ellering. Road Warrior Animal and Ellering come out to accept. Animal talks about ribs played on him and Hawk earlier in their careers as well as not knowing terms like "over." He told some old funny stories of an early career and Paul got in a few words. Animal gave an emotional talk about the late Road Warrior Hawk.
* Kane inducts Drew Carey and calls him "evil" and says "I like that." Drew comes out, gets booed, he says "go ahead and boo. I'm skinny, good-looking and rich."
* We can confirm that Ric Flair is in the audience.
* Triple H comes out. He's hilarious. All the typical Shawn Michaels jokes. Hair plugs, chaps, "googly-eyes". He gets teary and then out comes Shawn Michaels. Within two minutes he's crying. He clears up and runs over the story "everybody already knows", tells some stories of him and Hunter, his mom and dad, and his wife and kids. He jokes by saying "Quit with the one more match stuff. I'm nervous enough as it is." He finished up with a heartfelt speech, hugged Triple H, they both pointed to the entrance and out came X-Pac and Diesel. DX's music played, they posed, Shawn's music played, and it was a good night.
Note from Richard: Here's another description of HBK's induction from one of my sources: Triple H came out to induct Shawn Michaels and talked about the first time he met Shawn that Shawn was sporting a mullet and a fanny pack. Hunter said Stephanie called Shawn his road wife. Triple H said Michaels will not admit to being in the Hulk Hogan hair club. Sean Waltman and Kevin Nash joined Michaels and Hunter on stage and embraced HBK.

I don't have a full list but the lumberjacks include William Regal, Chavo Guerrero, Primo, R-Truth and Chris Masters. Daniel Bryan, the challenger, comes out first followed by the WWE United States Champion Sheamus.
Bryan starts out in control, throwing Sheamus over to the lumberjacks but Sheamus is able to get back to the ring. Teddy Long comes out. He said because of outside lumberjack involvement to the match, the bout will now be an over-the-top battle royal. All performers are in the ring working.
Here are the competitors in addition to Daniel Bryan and WWE United States Champion Sheamus:

STEVE AUSTIN has quashed speculation of a wrestling comeback by insisting he has no intention of returning to the ring.
Stone Cold took part in filming the latest series of WWE's Tough Enough reality TV show, which saw grappling wannabes battle to win the chance of scooping a contract with the promotion.
Austin's involvement sparked rumours he could be set to re-join Vince McMahon's company in a full time capacity.
But the Rattlesnake insisted: "I'm happy being gone and out of the business to the degree I am, that's why the Tough Enough thing was such a great opportunity between my other projects.
"I can be as hands-on and as close as I want to be. I'm not attempting to come back and I have a load of memories from a business I love."
The 46-year-old — who is focusing on his acting career — added: "I had a blast working on Tough Enough.
"WWE called me and they pitched the show and I was immediately interested and when we started doing it we were just flying by the seat of our pants.
"I watched a few episodes of the old one a long time ago but this is an entirely different animal. It's a lot of damned fun.
"I got up there and took some bumps with one of the contestants and worked around with one of the guys and I had fun getting in the ring and bouncing around again.
"But it doesn't mean I want to go and do it again on a night in, night out basis."
Austin was the WWE's biggest name during the 'Attitude' era of the the mid-to-late 1990s and was billed as the most popular superstar in the company's 59-year history.
But the six-time WWE champion warned current headliners like John Cena and Randy Orton they have a long way to go before they can dream of reaching the heights he achieved.
Austin added: "John Cena is their No1 guy right now and Randy Orton is on his heels and they're both doing wonderful — they're great for where the WWE wants to go.
"But for someone to come along like I did and just totally blow through everybody and smoke merchandise sales, ticket sales and affect TV ratings it's going to take a lot of doing to break that.
"I'm cheering for whoever can do it, though, because I'd love to see the business take another gigantic step forward."

An order for Ric Flair's arrest was issued in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina after he was found in civil contempt today during a hearing. It involved him not following a mediated Settlement Agreement in the lawsuit against him by Highspots.com.
The agreement said that Flair was supposed to pay the site $35,000 as well as sign 300 photos as restitution for both sides. This would have ended the legal problems after Flair borrowed money from the site when he was doing business with them. Even though he signed the agreement, he failed to adhere to it, and so Highspots took him to court. He was ordered to adhere by April 29th.
The court ruled that Flair was "willfull civil contempt of the court." The arrest order reads: "Therefore it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that Defendant Richard Fliehr is hereby held in civil contempt for his failure to comply with the Consent Order to Enforce Settlement and that the Defendant be imprisoned for as long as he remains in civil contempt for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from his date of imprisonment. This imprisonment shall commence on June 27, 2011 without further action of the court."
He could cancel the order by paying the aforementioned amount and returning the 300 photos. If he could not do that, he could also give the site the NWA World championship belt that he used as collateral. The belt is currently back in Flair's possession. They would then be able to sell it to get back the money they are owed. If he chooses that option, the court added that the belt needed to be "free of all liens and encumbrances." This might pose a problem since there is already one lien against Flair for the belt.

According to multiple accounts, former WWE Tag Team Champion Brian Knobbs mocked Randy Savage's death at a wrestling convention last Friday in Newark, California.
A number of former WWE stars were on hand for Big Time Wrestling's annual Wrestlefest event last Friday at the Newark Pavilion including Bret Hart, Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, Jim Neidhart, Jerry Sags, Greg Valentine and Jimmy Hart. News of Savage's passing broke Friday and Knobbs was cracking jokes about the deceased wrestler later that day in front of his longtime colleagues.
Waltman, who witnessed Knobbs' mean-spirited behavior, took to Twitter to criticize the Nasty Boys member.
He wrote, "There's no shoot brewing with Knobs. He's just an asshole for making jokes about Randy Savage dying on the same day it happened. He's pathetic."
Waltman also wrote the following to Hulk Hogan, a close friend of Knobbs': "I'm sorry to even bring you into Knobs BS, but he needs to be held accountable for once. You're the only one I know who can do it."
Savage's brother Lanny Poffo was also scheduled to appear at the event but canceled due to Savage's death.

July 2011
* Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. R-
Truth is announced for tonight in a #1
contender's match for the WWE Title at
Money in the Bank. Alex Riley vs. The Miz
is also announced.
* John Cena comes out and says Punk
has been stripped of the match at MITB.
Cena says they are going to act as if Punk
never existed in WWE. Cena isn't happy
with what happened but says Punk has a
right to say what he wants. Cena wants
answers from Vince McMahon and wants
them tonight and he wants Punk at the
pay-per-view.
* Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres beat The
Bella Twins.
* R-Truth is backstage upset about
having to compete in a #1 contender's
match tonight. Alberto Del Rio appears
and tells Truth that it's his destiny.
* David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty
beat Santino Marella and Vladimir
Kozlov. Zack Ryder appeared on the
stage after the match, did the "woo woo
you know it" and left.
* Backstage interview with The Miz upset
about not being in the #1 contender's
match tonight.
* Jack Swagger beat Sgt. Slaughter.
Swagger put the ankle lock on after the
match until Evan Bourne made the save.
Slaughter led us in the Pledge of
Allegiance for the 4th of July.
* Alberto Del Rio beat R-Truth and Rey
Mysterio by making Rey submit to
become the new #1 contender to the
WWE Title.
* Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero
come out. Vickie is throwing a party for
the United States Champion Ziggler since
it's the birthday of the United States. Kofi
Kingston comes out and fights with
Ziggler. Vickie gets pushed into a cake.
* Alex Riley beat The Miz with a roll up.
After the match, Miz got mad and
attacked Riley, beat him down and hit
him with the ring steps. Miz then threw
Riley into the announcer's table, kicked
him in the face and left.
* Vince McMahon comes out and talks
about CM Punk, saying he deserved to be
suspended. John Cena comes out and
asks Vince if Punk got under his skin.
Cena wants answers. Vince couldn't risk
Punk taking the WWE Title to another
company. Vince told Cena to not be like
Hulk Hogan and be a man. Vince says it
doesn't matter what anyone wants, CM
Punk is gone.
Cena says if he can't wrestle Punk, then
he's gone and hands Vince the belt.
Vince stops him and says here Cena is
walking out on him like everyone else
has. Vince reinstates Punk but if Cena
loses at Money in the Bank, he's fired.

CM Punk Rocks The Mic With An “Anti-WWE” Promo For The Ages And Gets “Suspended”

It’s been many moons since we did our list of wrestling’s best sh*t talkers, but with one interview, CM Punk may have jumped a few spots. For years, CM Punk has been my favorite wrestler in the WWE. He took his straight-edge gimmick and became the most compelling heel in the company.
His current storyline involves the supposed end of his contract coming up on July 17th when Punk takes on John Cena in Punk’s hometown of Chicago. Punk promises to win the title and take it with him when he leaves the WWE. But here’s the beauty: CM, when he was a wrestler at Ring Of Honor before his WWE stint, was in an identical angle where he won the title and vowed to take it from ROH and hand it to Vince McMahon. Of course, this is something that only the Internet fans know. But for the first time in years, we have a WWE storyline where Internet fans and regular fans alike have absolutely no clue what will happen come July 17th. Is Punk’s contract even up on the 17th? Will he renew his contract? Will he win and continue a story of wanting to leave the WWE with the belt? This is easily the most compelling the WWE has been since…well…CM Punk and Jeff Hardy had their monumental feud in 2009.
To really drive the storyline home, Punk delivered a promo of a lifetime last night. What he delivered was what people in the business call a “worked shoot” in which the wrestler appears to veer off script and spout “insider” rhetoric when in actuality it was pre-approved by Vince McMahon and the writers. Punk broke the fourth wall and talked about writers and behind-the-scenes workings of the company that somebody like John Cena wouldn’t talk about. This was the equivalent of Freddie Gibbs given a live mic to talk his sh*t for five minutes during the MTV Awards. Punk has always been a star on the mic, but he delivered in a big way. Punk is the greatest thing on WWE television and I really hope his contract isn’t actually over with in three weeks, because without him (and Randy Orton over at Smackdown!) Vince McMahon can keep his PG crap with the kids and count me out until Punk comes back or The Rock returns.

And to make the storyline more realistic, Vince McMahon released a press release where he “suspended” Punk for his comments. This, my friends, is storyline gold where every detail is being considered.
Here’s the statements from the WWE:
Monday Night Raw’s abrupt conclusion last night was not due to technical difficulties. The decision to suddenly end the broadcast in that manner was made by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, who gave this quote to WWE.com:
“C.M. Punk was suspended indefinitely for his unprofessional conduct as soon as Raw went off the air.”
With his WWE contract expiring on July 17, one can only assume that this suspension effectively terminates C.M. Punk’s tenure with WWE.
