Do you rekon its worth the comprimise for a new stadium though, if the fact is they can't find anywhere within the city for a new one??

Do you think they actually need a new stadium? Has there ever been any plans drawn up to modernise/expand the existing stadium.

I know for Anfield, there was many different plans put together before they decided upon a new stadium, and one of them was to modernise and expand the existing one, which wouldnt have actually been as tricky as people always assume.

It didnt look astetically so impressive and would only have held around 53,000 fans, but as the original stadium idea was only 55,000 it seemed good sense as it was far cheaper, but then they realised they needed 60,000+ seats.

dont no mate think its possable to modernise the existing stadium but think in order to do that everton them selfs will have to come up with all the money the good thing about if it goes ahead with new stadium everton will have to find less cash because tescos putting up the biggest part of the cash then the rest is coming from the sale of the old ground plus a little bit from everton so they wont be in as much debt.

as long as everton think they will get the fans up to kirby to fill the place then it all good news

nah the Tesco is there to get fans to go to the games, they got no excuse anymore, go shoppin on saturday afternoon and then the game at the same time.

Probably a Tesco promotion on summit like spend £15 and get into the game for free haha!

It seems as though Everton fan's want the move (either that or the vote has been rigged):

Everton vowed to abide by the outcome of the vote but 59% of the 25,761 votes returned supported the proposals.

The 50,000-seater new stadium will be financed alongside supermarket giant Tesco and the local Knowsley council.

It is part of a planned £400m redevelopment of a 32-hectare (80-acre) site.
