you can use it as a wireless hard drive yeah, I simply used it with time machine so it would automatically back up all my mac computers every week or 24 hours whichever you prefer without having to do a thing. It is also a wifi base station so you can connect it to your router and then connect your computers etc via the wifi on the time capsule, I found it much better than the wifi on the superhub personally.
