RAC Sat Nav project - not fully working - 15th Apr 2012 4:45pm
Would anyone be interested in a Sat Nav project?
It's an RAC1000 sat nav, boxed, with cradle and cables but isn't working properly - when you power it on it just hangs at the boot up screen.
I have looked around on some forums that say it just needs the software re-installing.
Some sat navs came with the software and drivers on CD, some didn't. Guess which one mine falls into?
So if you can get hold of the drivers to get the PC to see it, you can then re-install the Route 66 sat nav software or, as it's a Windows CE device, put on TomTom or any superior mapping software.
