1995 Skoda Felicia 1.3 LXi - £450 - 8th Apr 2012 7:43pm
Bought this off here in January and have done the weekly commute to Leamington (240 miles). I was very happy with it as it proved to be totally reliable and got me to work and back without any problems whatsoever.
Have replaced the thermostat, coolant temp sensor, lambda sensor, wiper motor and relay, speedo clocks which were all faulty and I had the windscreen resealed which was leaking water into the driver's footwell.
The car is 100% reliable, it has the Skoda pushrod engine (not cambelt). I've set the valve timing and it now does 40mpg around town and more on motorway. It had a service when I got it (new oil, coolant, plugs), and has some service history. It's on 56,000 miles at the moment.
I had it completely valeted, the interior is spotless and like new.
The heater is like a furnace, it is the most ferociously hot car heater I've ever experienced.
There is a little bit of rust coming through on the rear arches, and there's a line of corrosion on the driver's side wing under the bonnet.
Otherwise, the car looks cosmetically great, and more importantly totally reliable.
I have another car now and have another coming in so this is excess to requirements, but it'll be a shame to see it go, and I don't want to pay insurance for four cars.
It was taxed for six months in March and is MOT'd til August or September (I'll check!)
