This really makes me ferkin mad, they get fed up with the dog and don't even have the balls to find her a new home, at least she stands a good chance of a second chance with a loving home, lovely looking girl

I agree with you there,i do hope someone will come and offer her a home.
No need for it at all.
They need to amack down in the law, as everywhere is over run with dogs and cats.
Tilly keep us updated hun x

This looks like how I remember an "ex-friends" dog and if it was her she will have a better life than where she was I'll ask about and see if he still has her or not why is there no cameras set to catch people who leave there dogs tied there ?
Posted By: Lightning Re: Does anyone here recognise this GSD???? - 31st Mar 2012 9:52am
Good point they should put more cctv cameras in places like this ,
she is such a nice looking dog as well.
Posted By: Wiggi77 Re: Does anyone here recognise this GSD???? - 31st Mar 2012 10:24am
Poor dog
If they had cameras there people wouldn't leave them there and would just leave them somewhere else. At least they end up safe

But what if the cameras were hidden wiggi ???
Its been known,
she a nice dog don t you think?
they just throw dogs out now like old toys.
Posted By: Wiggi77 Re: Does anyone here recognise this GSD???? - 31st Mar 2012 10:51am
Because as soon as the first person was caught nobody else would do it.
Maybe every dog should be registered or chipped or something by law and the owner need to sign for the dog so the owner is known, but they'd probabaly get round it somehow
Posted By: Lightning Re: Does anyone here recognise this GSD???? - 31st Mar 2012 11:00am
yes the chipping dosen t work Wiggi, as they allways say they gave the dog to someone else.
They should make a law that every cat and dog gets done so they cant have pups or kittens.
So lovely pets like this one dosent get dumped

If every cat and dog "got done" they would become extinct smack

How could they? This makes me so mad.
Posted By: starakita Re: Does anyone here recognise this GSD???? - 31st Mar 2012 8:51pm
she's a beautiful looking dog hopefully she will find a new owner soon.why don't people read up on the breed before they buy cant understand people paying good money then dumping the dog when they can't cope,at least she was found by the kennels mine was just thrown out & left to wander but after 6 months she has landed on her feet & is doing really well with us in her forever home.

Awww She's lovely and has been well looked after by the look of her! it looks as tho her owner's have regretted having to leave her outside the pound. (the Black harness and 2 leads along with her looking in great shape are reason for this!!)
Sadly with this Government in charge and with all the cuts/Job losses that have begun that are hitting the working class the hardest (on purpose of couse!!) then sadly this kind of thing is going to be happening a lot more often from now onwards as people are struggling to live as it is!!!

hiKev, yes its the working class that get hit.But its no excuse to dump her,The dog can eat what they eat,or try and find her a home rather than dump her.
hope she gets a forever one though. Its worrying as the rescues and kennels are overcrowded.they should put the owners in the kennels see how they feel.

Hi Lightning, i totally agree with what you are saying and if she was my dog, i would make sure that she eat before i did.
But unfortunately not everyone is like us and some people dont love animals as much as other's, but at least her owners never just let her out on purpose to roam the streets and get picked up by some unsavioury character's ie - Smack heads,Nob eds such as these shitbag staffy owners who would think it would be fun to put her in their back yard with their Staffy and film them fighting (Knowing it would be much a one sided fight in their favour)so they could show the footage off to their nob ed mates an think they are hard etc.
This Government dont give a toss about the distress they are causing Owners and their animals when they are having to part because of their fkd up make the poor poorer decisions!!
I Hope Cameron Dies a slow and painful Death asap!!!!!

Lol Kevin, i would share the food with her,as i know you would.
The pound is overcrowded and nice dogs like her might put her to sleep.
The staff thing yes drug money hun,They bring them from Ireland am on a site it would break your heart if only you knew whet goes on.
I hope Tilly keeps updated about her anyway maybe GSR UK will take her in.Hope you okay Kev.

I'm sure this girl has been in the pound before confused
she looks a lot like the one that was found as a stray in Central park some months back. if it is her she will be chipped and so easy for owners to be traced....
I'm hoping she just got lost and someone else took her to the pound and it was closed so tied her up outside and then rung the dog warden.

There is no excuse for dumping an animal tho. Money is tight everywhere. I have 4 large dogs and have gone without so they are cared for. some people just should'nt have pets..

Hope this is the case Tilly, there are also cases like pet owners having to move into rented accomadation and no pets are allowed.

i know hun ''moving home'' and the ''new baby'' are the most used excuses for ''getting rid'' of a pet...

The pound dont work alongside breed rescues...

THE FAMILY DOG

The family's dog was bought to guard,
Chained to a post in a chilly backyard,
House in a shed that was airless and dark,
And every few weeks had a run in the park.

When boredom set in with no fun and no work,
One day it broke loose and went quietly berserk,
Dad couldn't fathom just why it went wild,
As it flattened his wife and then bit his child.

The police were called in to sort out the mess,
And the whole sorry tale was revealed in the press,
The Rescue Society was really annoyed,
So, the dog was re-homed, and the owners destroyed.

if only ????

that could of happened to my dog being people think of the akita as a fighting dog,she was picked up by the dog warden a couple of days later the owner rang the kennels to see if she had been picked up guilty conscience but ill go without to make sure she & the kids are fed.
