We lost our tom cat last year,he just disappeared for a week, the thought was he was in a garage and the people went on holiday for a week,he came back dusty and hungry but was ok,the vet said most moggies go on a walkabout for a while but usually return,so all you can do is hope.

Try putting a few ads in the shops on Woodchurch Road by Sainsbury's , he might have gone up that way, you never know.By the way we got one of your leaflets, he's a handsome lad.
Posted By: raffles Re: my missing cat - 20th Sep 2010 4:15pm
you must live quite close to me then. he is a handsome lad isnt he. he has a personality to match. he also has 2 sisters that are missing him ,theyve never been separated .they were rescued as kittens. some kindly sole decided to throw them out of a moving car when they were about 6 weeks old.

Hi I live in Higher Bebington and I drive through Prenton so i will keep an eye out. Try all the local vets. I found a cat and went to the vets and there was a card. He had come from about a mile away and been missing for over a week. When I rang his owner she didn't want to come as she felt sure it would be him. But it it was. If his collar was fastened it has probably been pulled off in a fight with another cat. Don't give up hope. If he had been knocked over he would have been found. Years ago we had a cat that jumped into a van belonging to a gas fitter that was working in the house. When we found she was missing we rang the fitter who was really embarrassed and said a black and white cat had jumped out of his van when he got home. He tried to catch it but couldn't. He lived in Moreton and we lived in New Brighton. We spent countless days driving around Moreton. Then weeks later my brother saw her on the M53 wasling along the embankment but when he stopped she had gone. Finally after three months she returned home. Good Luck.

Hiya raffles, i seen a cat at the Top of North road, (just off derby rd) that looked just like Mr raffles, at approx 1am tonight, it was looking at me from underneath a car at the very top of the road and actually started to come out to me,it never looked to roadworthy to be honest, (i was on my mountain bike) it looked a bit lost, i really could not do anything at that time as it was too late to investigate further or get in touch with you, so i just rode off in case it wondered onto derby road, but it might be worth taking a drive up that way tomorrow just in case it was Mr raffles, it was under a car which was parked outside number 2A north road. Fingers crossed

Hi Raffles, sadly i havent managed to set eyes on the same cat tonight, ive even been shoutin Mr Raffles at the top of North rd but not a cat in sight im afraid, im always out and about the area on my mountain bike as thats my way of keeping fit, i cover everywhere around Tranmere and prenton and mainly go out at night times when rds are less busy, so often see a fair few cats,i will keep looking out for Mr Raffles and pray that others are also doing so for you and that Raffles is home with you and his 2 Sisters where he belongs as soon as possible. Glad Mr Raffles is home and hope he's on the mend.

Cats are such a worry aren't they. My Cat Poppy is a proper little dirty stop out and refuses to come in some nights so i go to bed worrying myself silly.
