This fantastic hotel was knocked down a few years ago.

It is now "Lapwing Rise"

Nice pub/hotel, sad to see it go.
Two pictures, one from 1988 when all was well - and one from 2003 when demolition had begun.

So sad that this has gone we had our wedding reception there in July 2001. Think it was near the end as most of the staff were finishing that day, so we seemed to get more wine on the tables than we had paid for!!!

Very Sad - had lovely back gardens too - used to go to dinner Discos there - which ran nearly up to end ....even stayed there once for an annisversary with Mrs BigP... good times and good staff too.....

I think this is the same place
