Just to the right of the Alex hidden by the bus stop there was an off licence, when open claimed to be the oldest on wirral.
My mum and dad use to run the pub Brenda and Martin, that was the good old days
I remember when brenda & martin had it there was always entertainment and always full on a sunday dinnertime
Thats cos of the roasties and sausages on a sundy dinner time and Good old Micky Morris entertained

my aunt and uncle used to run this pub carol and gerrard x
we used to love going in the alex when brenda and martin ran it
also when jean and eddie ran it we ended up good friends with them. good times

Carol & Gerry Lorraine, he used to be a drayman worked for brewery in Livingstone street, they went to live in north wales and he sadly passed away.
I was a regular in there with my to be wife Kathy who sadly passed away in 1994, my name's Gordon.
