It's a wireless video extender, Aldi have one in and it's cheaper.

No its not

It's an IR extender. It's most basic use is to allow you to hide your sat/cable/freeview box in the cupboard.

Also useful if you've set up a wired video distribution from a DSR/PVR and want to control the box without having to go in to the room it's located. A more universal alternative to the "Magic Eye" system if you will.
