Who owns a hedgehog ?
Posted By: Bezzymate Re: Hedgehog free to good home - 16th Oct 2010 5:13pm
I will take him,but is it ok to move them.
We do have hedgehogs already so our garden will suit him.
Can he not just be left in next doors garden?

Much better - just need to get rid of the deep sea invertebrate creatures that have set up home in the bottom of my lungs that make me sound like I have a death rattle and I'm good to go grin

Take him to the park, as joe said. Must be lots of other 'hogs for him to play with, there.

your not supposed to have hedgehogs as pets. they are wildlife and should remain in the wild.

Wrong let it free....

If the hedgehog has been domesticated you'll send him to his death if you just let him go free - has he become dependent on humans for food?
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Hedgehog free to good home - 17th Oct 2010 9:19am
It should of not been someones pet in the first place....

Thanks Summer, Just wish I had checked sooner.
I didn't think for one minute that I would be the only one to take him,so didn't give it the priority that I should have.XX

He will prob prefare to find his own speck.

I'm guessing the critter may have started out as an injured juvenile and the neighbour came to his aid, but then the hedgehog probably kepy coming back for food after that. Let's not execute the neighbour yet raftl

Don't want to sound like a prude but shouldn't wild creatures be left alone?
Posted By: Bezzymate Re: Hedgehog free to good home - 17th Oct 2010 9:37pm
Yes I agree, but if someone asks for it to be rehomed and it was being kept in a plastic box, you have a garden with other hedgehogs living happily there!
What would you do?

From the story so far it doesn't sound completely wild...maybe it has rehomed itself...

Hedgehogs hibernate in nests over winter - usually from October to April.

that's probably why he has gone AWOL smile
