This petition may appeal to those of you interested in preserving local History and Heritage.

TO: THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCIL

Reject the proposal to demolish Nos. 48-54 Renshaw Street and ensure that the entire block remains intact.

Why is this important?

In light of recent losses to our cityscape it is vital that this parade of Edwardian shops which defines the character of the whole street should remain intact.

There is a problem with these old buildings which is, no one wants to buy them or repair them because the cost is too great which is a damn shame
Look at the futurist down the road in lime st.

Futurist in 1938
Liverpool may lose there world heritage status which would be a shame

Maybe Liverpool city council should just update the existing building and not pay £2m+ in fighting against those trying to save it
Once the building is repaired and updated there will be buyers queuing at the door, you only need to look at Albert and Kings docks as just two examples

If they want to demolish something ugly, then they might look at the horrible modern jagged excrescences at Pierhead.
