Are you some sort of debt collection agent? If you are you could at least subscribe to the site to help with its upkeep.

Really? And you'd know because you share the same office?

People go off grid for many reasons, too numerous to mention, if you genuinely need to find people go to the Salvation Army or the Police, then at least the enquired after person has the option to let searcher know their location or not.

i have to agree these people might not want somebody poking round there buisiness, there are sites were you can find people ,it does seem strange these peolple are random ages and areas were they live .
Posted By: sunnyside Re: looking for - 9th Dec 2011 1:50pm
i am not a debt collector i wish people would get their facts right before making accusations
i am looking for a missed family member who was from wirral and i hoped placing an add on here would help whats your problem anyway get a life of your own and keep out of mine
Posted By: sunnyside Re: looking for - 9th Dec 2011 1:52pm
well silverback werever you go for help the missing person allways has a choice to have contact or not
Posted By: luckycharm Re: looking for - 9th Dec 2011 1:58pm
but you were looking for three people not one family member thats all that seemed strange so theres no need to get snappy ,it seems strange that all you know is there name and a vague reference to where they lived .
Posted By: sunnyside Re: looking for - 9th Dec 2011 2:05pm
sorry if i was snappy but let me explain:
the posting for helen louise coen is my daughter who was adopted many years ago 41 to be exact thats why details are sketchy
2nd posting was for susan mcquigan who went to school with me 47years ago so dont know a lot about her
the 3rd one is an old flame and i need to contact for personal reasons
but i can see why you thought i was a debt collector etc
i am at the time in my life when you try to put things right and see people when you can
hope this explains things a little better regards sue

But not if you are provided with their address via a local forum full of people who think they being of help in reuniting friends.

Posted By: sunnyside Re: looking for - 9th Dec 2011 2:40pm
i understand what you say but with the internet there are many ways to find people now whether it is right or wrong
i have tried them you can check electoral roll for addressand phone no and facebook etc list is endless but as i have explained i dont want info like that i would appreciate someone passing message on or phone number you would feel the same if a family member vanished terrible things happen nowadays helen has nothing to worry about no questions to answer we need to know she is safe and wrell and we are here for here

I know because i know who she is and why she is asking, i am in contact with the other lady who asked about helen who is a geniologist, I was a close friend of helens until about 10yrs ago, and even if i did know where she was now i would not supply anyone with her details until i had asked her,

your tone was most unfriendly and is a deterrant to mew people posting,

My tone was questioning, which is neither friendly nor unfriendly.

If someone claiming to be from your military past was to turn up on the forum asking for your address would you prefer that we hand it over, assuming we know it, without any questions.
Posted By: sunnyside Re: looking for - 9th Dec 2011 8:03pm
was not in military but have worked the last 45years and been a wife and mother not a scally i have led a decent clean honest life and i suppose i think everyone is as open and honest as me and if they can help they do all i wanted was a message passing on no sinister motive whatsoever i have nothing to hide at all
Posted By: Madge Re: looking for - 9th Dec 2011 8:14pm
and did you read my post in full or just look for something to which you could pick on, if you had read it all you would have seen ``and even if i did know where she was now i would not supply anyone with her details until i had asked her, ``
now you can continue your unfriendliness i have said all i need to, i refuse to carry this on with someone so beligerant, is it any wonder this site as great as it is has an awful lot of people who dont post, I shall now be one of those people, i will not open myself upto negativity i have enough to deal with, Sue i wish you all the best in your quest, you dont have to answer to these people,

Hi Sue. suggest you google www.directgov and put adoption contact register in search on their website and then click on 'using the adoption contact register'. You can register on this government site and then if your daughter is looking for you and registers on this site she will know you wish to contact.

Your school friend might be traced on Friends Reunited or similar site.

Old flames are probably burnt out by now and perhaps best remembered as they were in their youth.

I wish you well.
