I heard something on the radio that any retailer that sells batteries, MUST also have a recycling bin for the duff ones.

Most battery flogging emporiums around this neck of the woods have the bins now. Domestic batteries only - not car/tractor ones ! I presume it's a countrywide scheme ?

You can recycle car batteries at Clatterbridge 'waste centre'.
I was also chuffed to see a car tyre/wheel recycling thing as well. You're only really allowed to bring 4 in. I got rid of two!
