where is the best chippy on the Wirral that serves really good fish & chips?
Like above says .. Parkgate next to the Red lion pub
I dont get the buzz regarding Parkgate chippy to be honest. The fats always filthy and the chips are burnt. I went the other day and it hadnt improved. Certainly had much better chips. Didnt try the fish though.
I like Georgio's or Irby Fish & Chips. The latter being my favourite.
Like Deano I don't get why Parkgate is so popular, the chips have enough eyes to see you through the week, but at least the seagulls get a good feed.
parkgate used to be good but we go to the one in new brighton in the fair, they cook the fish while you wait & the fish is freshchips are nice too
Pisces in Heswall is well ahead of the rest and they have won many awards to prove it.

Irby Fish and Chips. Every night, the customers are queing outside before it opens. Find the chips a touch under done sometimes if I'm honest..
Duke street They have 5 stars for hygiene
Believe it or not, for eating in purposes, Morrisons fish and chips are consistently good with lightweight batter and nice white fish. Can speak for West Kirby and Ellesmere port branches anyway.
The Blue Sea in Moreton ... best fish and chips ever (IMHO)
Just took a look at the website, they're not open very late are they? Aren't chippy's normally open until about 11pm ish?
The one in Prenton on Woodchurch Rd (at the front of Home bargains) used to be nice, is it still there now?
