Weather permitting he is usually there on a Thursday morning to catch the Friday fish eaters.

Not sure if he buys in as well, but someone on here will know.

He is usually there Thursday on Tower Road and sometimes on the Wallasey side of Duke Street bridge by the Merseys Ferries berths. I asked a friend in work who use to be in the Navy and was told the following information about the Manx Beauty, plus he knows the current owner Arthur Maddocks.

The boat is used to give the effect that he catches the fish himself, but he doesnt. The boat 'Manx Beauty' is just for effect, it was de-registered years ago as a working boat. His 'crewman' the white haired bloke drives the red people carrier that is always parked up opposite. The boat is always moored up on the jetty on the the Birkenhead side of Duke Street bridge.

I asked about the fishing boat in work and an ex-navy sailor told me about the manx beauty and he knows the owner 'Arthur maddocks'.

But nice fish from there nevertheless and reasonably priced to.

Bit of poor editing there grin

I forgot to add the Manx Beauty never leaves the docks nowadays.

Maybe the fish all just come swimming to him? he could market it as 'environmentally friendly fish' ;-)

joking aside i'll check his stall out next thursday, nothing like fresh fish.
